“You're a car, but most of all, what you are, what you've become, is a mate. And that's what makes a car special. That's what makes a car great. You start to think of it as a person. You start to love it.”
-- Jeremy Clarkson

A deductible is an amount that you're responsible for in the event of a loss. This is the amount you pay out-of-pocket, and insurance covers the remainder.
When speaking with your agent to set up your policy, any valuables you are concerned about and our agent can review your policy and recommend changes to ensure your valuables have proper coverage.
No. You do not need a new home appraisal during the renewal or coverage change process. however, it is good to review your coverages over the last year. Things change and your coverages might need to as well, especially if you do a remodel of your home, have a new child, or even coming into a lot more liquid and hard assets, where coverages need to be increased.
From what you are referring to, is only means to have your vehicle covered in the event that a claim is made. There are 2 parts to this coverage, Comprehensive & Collision, which both have a separate deductible that you are responsible to pay in he event of a claim to fix your vehicle. Technically, there is no such thing as "full coverage" as it is just a marketing term to quick explain this.
Unless you want to pay more than your deductible out of pocket in the event of a claim, yes. Replacement cost coverage is there to replace at the full cost to do so. Payment Schedule or Actual Cash Value (ACV) is based on a depreciated cost, which means you make up for the depreciated amount. This is a very big deal when it comes to roofs, as this is generally where this type of coverage is talked about.
Depending on if it is a discount for your auto policy or your home, there are quite a few. For your auto policy, a paying full discount could be available, as well as the Good Student discount for drivers in school and under the age of 23 (age varies between the carriers). For the home, have a monitored security system, or even a Smart home system (smart water sensor, smoke detectors, etc.) with some carriers can provide a small discount. Ultimately the biggest discount will be bundling your auto and home policies.
You certainly do not. However the rate could be better if you do, but not always as these days it appears bundling is only effective about 73% of the time.
Even though the number of carriers will be limited if you have a DUI within the last 5 years, there are carriers out there that will write an auto insurance policy for you.
